Instructor Training

The ATBA-UK hold the standardisation of the courses and the database of qualified instructors in the UK. The instruction is based on a core of basic safety and instructor skills and add-on courses for more advanced techniques. These are transferable qualifications for all centres and training locations in the UK.

Current Instructor qualifications are valid for 3 years. Courses taken before 2009 are valid for 2 years before a refresher course is needed. The current levels of course available are:

ATBA-UK - Assistant Instructor

ATBA-UK - Core Instructor

ATBA-UK - Centre Instructor

ATBA-UK - Senior Centre Instructor

ATBA-UK Instructor Training Providers

There are several ATBA-UK Approved Training Providers and Assessors across the country to help with any instructor training needs. As the course has been updated in 2009 the approved locations offering the latest courses are listed below. (Alphabetical Order)

Note: Training providers and assessors are appointed by the ATBA-UK on a case by case basis. Minimum age of 21 years and with 5 years mountainboard teaching experience. Please contact the ATBA-UK if you are interested in becoming a training provider or assessor.
